I'd love to hear from a Stager who is not a Realtor or was a Realtor on how they broke in to the market of realtors.

I love TerryLynn but she's a Realtor is she not? Most of us do not have that similar background to talk to realtors from.

How did Kate Hart get Realtors to recommend or hire her? What about Melissa Marro? Yes, she has a licence but hasn't used it for years...how does she get through to Realtors?

Realtors are the brick wall for myself and many many others. We don't get any respect from Realtors because we are seen as coming from outside the industry. And we are a dime a dozen thanks to ASP, CSP and now Haverhill.

How do we convince Realtors to recommend us or hire us?!

Stagers have no problem convincing the homeowners they need us...in fact the homeowners call us!

The question is how do we convince Realtors to recommend or use us!

This information needs to come from someone like us. Not someone who is/was a Realtor.

BTW, where is the tri state expo? and what are the tri-states? Jersey, Pennsylvania and ?

Well Dane as always thanks for asking.  Actually that is the substance of my talk, How to demystify the realtor so you'll  know how to penetrate the Realtor armour.  Who best to tell you how a Realtor thinks?  But then there will be lots of people there for you to chat with and see what they say to your question.  That's the beauty of it really is that you get more than one opinion.  I think you'll be glad you came.  You are coming right?

I might try to make this as it is a four hour drive for me.  Is there anyone else in the Washington DC area that is interested in driving up the night before?  If so, call me.

Is there a particular hotel everyone is planning on staying at?

Terrylynns talk is about how to get agents on your side, how to work with them, how to make them get it. There is no better person out there to give this type of talk besides an agent that "gets" staging.

No one can get a realtor to recomend YOU, until you can get the realtor to "get" you. T talks about how to become a "partner" with a realtor. The ins and outs of getting them to understand you and for you to understand them. Realtors get bombarded by stagers all the time, "can i take you to luch" " let me explain how I can help you". Relators dont want to "do lunch" their time is limited and Terrylynn will teach everyone how to understand the succesful agent and how to become part of their team and how that agent will then recomend you etc. Without a background of beign a realtor for 30 years I would imagine it would be difficult to bridge that gap.

Hey all I am planning on coming. What states are included in the Tri State? Also please let me know if there is a hotel we can all stay at so we can get dinner after. Dane wanna be roomies? kh

The entire team has so much to offer. Terrylynn gives first hand info on working with a Realtor, what their needs are and what YOU can do to help, Kym shares her great experience and gives an enormous amount of information for stagers on how to make a profit at their business, and Christine wraps the whole show up with her seasoned, proven, expert advice on how viable staging is in any market.

This team is a huge success where ever they go. You have 3 wonderful view points and will receive so much information. I would attend every single Expo if I could because it is so empowering.

Thanks for more detail on Terrylynns talk...it makes much more sense now. I really want to come down for it and the husband is off the 5th and 6th.

It is an 8 hour drive to Secaucus (I'd never heard of this town before...I thought it was a typo and you'd ment to say Syracus- duh!).

Kate, if I can make it I'd love to be your roomy! Hey, we'd be what 30 minutes from Mid-Town Manhattan...dinner anyone? Drinks on top of Rockefeller Center?

Looking forward to all the reports from the attendees.   I would have loved to jump at the opportunity if I hadn't been on the east coast the summer.

How Cool Kimo!  I hope you got autographs.  Maybe we can get a staging expo in Hawaii?  Probably don't have enough home stagers?  We can think of some other excuse!
