Only if someone is chasing me. Otherwise I'll just take my time and walk or drive.

I would love to have that view....I probably wouldn't do much running either, maybe just sit there and watch over the place.

Go Chris Go! Whew I'm tired...Thanks for sharing, I bet it felt great to be out there at that time of the day!

Tammy, I'm with you, in the car! lol
Tina - It is a nice view, but I wouldn't be running either.
Wanda - That would be Adryon! I'm not up at that time of day unless I have to be.
My crazy lovely friend Adryon is running the Nike Women's Marathon for the 2nd year in a row to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is why I used her picture.

I admire your friend's drive to participate in the marathon, but unless you have a gun and I don't ... I ain't running. :)

What an inspirational view for runners. I wonder if the sun is rising or setting.

Hi Chris...I give Adryon a lot of credit for doing this marathon - such a great cause. When I see runners and cyclists out now in mid 90's I just wonder how they can do it!!!

Carol - either that or a big guy with an axe is about the only time you'll see me running.
John - I have to guess rising as they always ask for volunteers at water stops in the am long before I am awake.
Gail - It is a wonderful cause and Team in Training really brings together the participants and people they are running for in a meaningful way.

Hello Chris - Before I met Nu Nu I use to run 2 miles everyday and it takes a lot of work! One of my feet has been giving me problems so I will be going to the doctor soon.
Try hiking, I love hiking more because it brings me to new places and don't forget your camera if you go hiking!

Be careful out there running or you'll wind up like me sitting behind a computer monitor because you can't run anymore. However, I can still take leisurely strolls ... with a camera ... taking pictures .... for two or three hours ...

Hi Bob & Russel - I don't think running is healthy, that is my friend running. She is training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I support her decision, even though I don't understand the reasoning behind it.

I am pretty fit but I am not a runner. I have never been able to work up the lung power to run. And I am with you... I don't think something that requires that much of your body can be good for you. Great shot though and I admire your friend for what she is running for. xxoo
PS Just read a wonderful, wonderful, book call A Given Day... set in Boston just after WWI. It was so good I'm kind of sad that I finished it. Only another reader will know that feeling... kind of desolate and out of sorts... missing the characters in a book that I became attached to.
Or, I'm just crazy. Who knows. It could definitely be that.

Nope, not crazy, I know that feeling. Of course, I could be crazy...I'll add that book to my list.
Adryon was injured at work and had come to a point where she realized that the injury could not be fixed, thus making her permanently disabled. She was also going through hard times with a bad relationship. In order to take some control of her life, she joined Team in Training to fight cancer. I am a big fan of that decision, even if I don't get the running thing. Team in Training does do a wonderful job of putting the participants together with real people who are benefitting from the programs.
And talk about crazy, I did try to talk Rhiannon into walking the Nike Half Marathon because at the finish line there are firemen dressed in tuxes who hand each participant a little blue box from Tiffany's. Who doesn't like that?
