VA's on AR - I need help Dreamweaver/Webassist.

I have to make a shopping cart site for a gift basket guy.  The software is dreamweaver and WEBASSIST.  Is anyone familiar with these & avail to help me on an hourly basis?

He is very specific with the design, so I can do the static pages and give you what I have for home page and product pages.  I just have never done this shopping cart before and I'm going nuts busy right now.

He would have to think I'm doing the work, as it was a referral so I'd be hiring you and paying you.

I hope someone can help me!!!!!

Concert Review - Vermillion Lies & The Dresden Dolls

Okay, so last Sunday I took my daughter, Rhiannon, and her friend, Amelia to the Filmore in San Francisco to see Amelia's first concert, Rhiannon's first at the Filmore. Obviously, a historic place.

So the kids wanted to be "up front" for Vermillion Lies. They're less dark than The Dresden Dolls, & the girl's really loved them. They're quirky, intelligent and fun. Definitely different. The girl's favorite song was about a heart transplant, which I cannot find online. But this one, Global Warming, is pretty darn cute. We got autographs after & I had to remind the girls it's okay to say how much you loved their show. After this, Amelia came out with "YOU ROCK!" and Rhiannon said, "You guys are great."

The Dresden Dolls did a rockin cover of you've gotta fight for your right to party by the Beastie Boys(to which the girls energetically sang along), with a cello and violin. That was sincerely appreciated by me. They did Coin Operated Boy (the song the girls love) mid-way through the show, so I told the girls we can go whenever you're tired. Amelia said NO. Who doesn't want to see the end? What's wrong with them? So we stayed. It was a nice, rock -n- roll experience. I must say, I was impressed with Amelia's attitude. She had played soccer that day and was quite tired.

Tomato Soup

So I was at my parents' house watching the kids swim.  My mom & dad were making sloppy joes.  My dad asked me if I had any tomato soup, which I don't.  But that does sound good!  "Let's make some!" was my response.  No, dad already went to the store.

"Why can't you use tomato paste or tomato sauce?"

"This is the way it's done, the way it's always been done, the way it will always be done."

Okay then!  So I came home and made some tomato soup, cuz now I was hungry for it.

Enough olive oil to fry the onion/garlic
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 tsp. crushed/minced garlic
1 can vegetable broth
2 (14.5 oz) cans fire roasted, diced tomatoes
1/4 tsp. each dill, oregano, thyme and sage
1/2 cup red wine
Salt and pepper to taste

1)  Fry the onion and garlic until the onion becomes soft.

2)  Add the rest of the ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer about 30 minutes, until tomatoes are soft & mushy.

3)  Make smooth in a blender or immersion blender.  Adjust seasoning to taste and serve.

This is good with grated parmesan or sour cream on top, but I enjoyed it plain today and it was good that way too.

Enjoy!  (As you can see, there is very little fat in this.  If you want even less, use a small amount of the vegetable broth to fry the onion and garlic.)

Robledo Family Winery in Sonoma, CA

Some friends and I recently went on a wine tasting trip in Sonoma.  Our favorite winery was the Robledo Family Winery.  The wines were delicious (I even loved the chardonnay and I usually only drink red).  We were served by one of the Robledo sons, who told us the story behind the name of each wine as well as the grapes used to make them.  There was also a cute little Robledo grandson wandering around and admiring our limo.  This is a charming and inviting family winery.  Mama Robledo is even the one doing the cooking today for the Cinco de May celebration!

From the family website:
"We think every bottle of wine produced by Robledo Family Winery is a small triumph. The quality of our wine displays viticulturist Reynaldo Robledo's skills of grape culture. He overcame his humble beginnings as an immigrant field worker to become one of the most successful vineyard consultants and winery owners in California Wine Country. More than anything, Robledo Family Winery is a success because Robledo shares his knowledge and passion with his children and his grandchildren."

Their wine club is even family oriented.  You can sign up as:

  • Padrinos (Godparents) - One case every three months, Feb, May, Aug & Nov
  • Tios (Uncles/Aunts) - One case every four months, Mar, July & Nov
  • Primos (Cousins) - Six bottles every three months, Feb, May, Aug & Nov.

With the membership, you receive a 30% discount on all wine and a 20% discount on clothing/merchandise.  Not a bad deal!

It is Finally Here... May 1, 2008. StagersLIST.com

Blogs relating to this post:
Terrylynn Kym and Lori are together and I am afraid. I am very afraid.
Is this a hint? Is This a clue?
What are Terrylynn, Kym and Lori Up To? A Bit of a Rant
Maybe not a hint, but I love the company we are keeping lately (add Cindy Bryant, Kathy Nielson, Jo Potvin, Joelle Green, Kathleen Lordbock, Leslie Godbold and Jackson West if you will).
Oh My Gosh… I can’t believe it’s already here!!
I know! It seems like yesterday that we were on a plane to Minneapolis, the "Center of the Universe", but it was really July 2007.
Almost a year ago and it’s so amazing how all our brainstorming on the challenges of the staging industry turned into this!
Yes! A real life new company launching May 1, 2008.
We're adding so much as we go, that we can add every few weeks, that they'll just LOVE coming back to see what we've got planned.
Isn’t it just great! Thank goodness for Active Rain and Miss Lori Kim Polk, who knows EVERYONE! Her enthusiasm is contagious.
You bet, I just love her and she has been such an amazing cheer leader and support for us. Chris too, what would we have done without her? All that talk about her head exploding if we didn’t stop coming up with new things, humpf.
I shudder to think! She is ready to put us both on a slow boat to china without a paddle and I don’t blame her a bit. Thank goodness she is such an amazing web manager because without her our site would not be ready to launch, especially the shopping mall.
Good news Terrylynn! I signed up a new supplier for the Shopping Mall today too. Within the next three months we are going to have the best Shopping Mall for Stagers on the world wide web.
But the best part is that now all stagers have a way of selling their used inventory that they no longer want or need.
Yes that is great, but I love that stagers can increase their exposure to local homeowners and Real Estate Agents.
True, but additional revenue streams that they can make through the virtual consignment shop program, selling banner ads to their local contractors, and selling their inventory is going to be so good for their bottom line.
THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART is that we are going to release one or more new amazing features each month. StagersLIST.com is going to be the best tool for moving a stager's business forward.
Kym, you're absolutely right, but then again you always are. Just wait, in a few months when we start to market it to Realtors and homeowners and they can see how REALLY VALUABLE professional stagers truly are! .
Thank you Marey Hoeppner for stepping up to help Chris out with all this extra work!
