Yahoo News Story
I logged on tonight to check in and found this article. It's very well written, I do hope you take the time to read it. She was an amazing woman and performer.

My lovely friend Martha Brown tagged me for this MeMe. I had not realized Martha had never been tagged for a MeMe or I would have taken care of that long ago. Martha is funny and smart and is always worth reading. Thank you Martha!
Even though we ALL know WAY too much about MeMe (my friend, Kym Hough, has threated to post a blog saying, ENOUGH ABOUT CHRIS FISHER ALREADY) and my mother, Terrylynn Fisher, trembles in fear each time I am tagged, worrying what I may say.
Here are all of the ground rules that need to be followed:
I apologize in advance - I cannot, honestly, remember what I have shared or what I have not at this point. My friend Susan Mangigian said it best in her MeMe, "Not being an overly private person has its disadvantages when you want to surprise people with information about yourself."
1. My daughter, Rhiannon, is much smarter than I am and is constantly making me resort to the Internet to answer her questions. It's funny to have to explain to someone that, "I just don't know EVERYthing!"
2. In high school I was in what was then called "A English." What that meant, I believe, was that they knew I could read. "A English" meant you had to read great books, then watch the sometimes okay movies made about the same books, and then discuss. My English teacher obviously LOVED literature, she was awesome. We really had very little to do in the class that felt like work. It was a great class. (Just so you don't think I'm bragging, I got Ds in History and Science, a fact that makes my daughter gasp in horror).
3. I'm an excellent liar. It's one of my gifts. I have chosen, as an adult, not to use this gift, as I HATE being lied to. I will NOT lie at this point. The first time I cut school, my mother caught me and made me speak to the Principal. She was furious, the Principal hugged me and called her to explain I had been afraid to board the bus that morning as someone had threatened me with violence. I was grounded most of my teen years.
4. I have lots and lots of books in my house. My ex-roommate was disgusted with the number of books. I made a deal with him; every book of mine that he read and discussed with me I would take to the used book store. I still have all my books.
5. My eyes are green but turn blue when I cry. I don't cry often, but it is an interesting thing to observe when it happens.
6. My hair is generally some outrageous shade of red. I believe this started with Ann Margaret and was further fueled by Tori Amos. I have actually been asked if it was my real color, often. Um, no, "Torch Crimson" doesn't grow out of human heads. Right now my hair is too brown and things are not right with the world. Note to self: Order Outrageous Cherry tomorrow.
7. I am too trusting and always expect the best from people, even though I know that is naive. Luckily for me, my gut instincts are always correct and for that reason I have avoided the truly bad people most of the time.
Now I get to choose 7 victims friends to share information about themselves. Since most of my usual suspects will hurt me if I tag them again, I am attacking choosing 7 people from the list of blogs I am subscribed to who I do not believe I have tagged before so we can learn more about them (and I, hopefully, will not be harmed).

Guess who's coming to town... That's right, Chris has finally convinced the team that she MUST attend as many expos as possible. Look out!

We have been working diligently since the completion of our 2008 StagersLIST Expo tour to identify cities for our 2009 tour. We have received an overwhelming response from Home Stagers from across North America asking that the StagersLIST Expo come to their area. If we said yes to every request we would never be home!
Below are the cities that will be hosting 2009 StagersLIST Expo! Are you working in or living close to one of the following cities?
Atlanta, GA
Charlotte, NC
Indianapolis, IN
Houston, TX
Los Angeles, CA
Minneapolis, MN
New Orleans, LA
New York Metro
Orlando, FL
San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Seattle, WA
Toronto, CN
If the answer is YES, then stay turned for the announcement of final dates in January 09. If the answer is NO, then maybe it's time for a road trip because the entire team at www.StagersLIST.com would love to meet every Stager in the country!
If you would like to be on one of our local Expo teams in a city near you, please let us know, as it takes a village!
Heads Up - www.StagersLISTExpo.com is being relaunched in January 09 with lots of new bells and whistles and up to date information about events taking place throughout our industry and, of course, information on a StagersLIST Expos.
Happy Holidays,

Isn't "puppy love" the sweetest! : ) Had to share this cutie. Oh yeah, the kid's pretty cute too!
The other day, my oldest was sleeping on the couch, the puppy "trooper" was trying desperately to get up there too. My son woke up helped Trooper up on the couch (that he is not suppose to be on, can you imagine when he gets to be 90 pounds trying to lay on the couch with the kids or on your lap?) so he could lay with him. I only know this because later my son told me he did this, when I asked how Trooper got up there.
Of course you can see from the photo below how cute it is and well I just cannot complain about the puppy being on the couch at this point! But I was able to sneak this photo!
SO CUTE!!!

As some of you know, I have taken in feral kittens to find homes for. Spirit, a little Siamese, is with my sister now and becoming very friendly. Less than a week ago I posted a craigslist ad and delivered Kiwi to a nice young woman who has the patience to handle a feral kitten. She has reported that Kiwi no longer hisses at her, sleeps on her pillow at night and is wearing a collar. Kiwi also likes the 3 little boys she lives with. Just thought I'd share the good news.
It's hard to get a good photo of a black kitty, but here is Kiwi:

I am sad today, because I thought I had a home for Mystery, the little tortoise-shell who looks just like mama. Mystery is quite smart and took a long time before being hungry enough to go into the kitty trap. Now that Mystery is in the trap, the girl who said she wants the kitty is not answering phone or emails. I put an ad on craigslist hoping for a good home today, but it looks like I put the poor thing through this whole stress of being re-trapped for nothing. I feel very bad about it.

Take care everyone & wish me luck!

This site is so fantastic. You can post WANTED or OFFER and get rid of or receive things, just like that. It works so fast it can make your head spin. Go to www.freecycle.org, join the yahoo group in your area, and boom, you are giving and receiving free things. I posted a wanted for a basketball hoop... got it within an hour. My daughter and I have been playing at least a half hour a day, making many baskets at regulation height I might add. Someone posted a WANTED for her sister who had been out with a back surgery and needed clothes to go back to work. I had clothes! I freecycle'd at least six bags of clothes. It's wonderful because it helped me to clean up and helped someone else at the same time. My desktop monitor went crazy on me, I posted a WANTED and received a free monitor within minutes. Did I need to buy a monitor before Christmas? No!
I subscribed to freecycle in another state because my good friend there was slow to start and I wanted to find things for her. I love to annoy her with "OFFER: Bunny, leash and potty trained, free to good home." She doesn't want or need a bunny... I did find someone in this state who needed clothing for her children to have Christmas presents and tomorrow I am mailing 3 outfits each, with winter hats and gloves. It's such a powerful thing.
Check it out, www.freecycle.org, and see if you can give and receive rather than continue on the purchasing pattern we are all on.

Just wanted to re-blog this for my friend and Virtual Assistant, Marey Hoeppner. I am very happy to have her as my VA, and you will be too!

Virtually Serving You Anywhere.....
From time to time we take our business to a new level, whether it is offering new products or services or letting go of products and services we once offered. We make these changes to help our business grow and become more successful, or maybe even to slow things down a bit. Whatever the reason, we will make changes to our business. Things don't always work out as planned, however, we won't know if something will work or not until we take that step.
I have come a long way since starting my business. There are services I have added to my portfolio and services I have dropped. On a personal level, I have to feel good about the decisions I make for my business, that is where the passion for what I do comes in. This passion benefits me, as well as my clients. I will be updating my portfolio within the next week as I am offering things I did not offer before.
